Description
Reducing dead time as small as possible is one of the most effective methods of improving statistical accuracy of gamma pluses count. Based on the above assumption, the paper proposed the circuit configuration of dual port RAM plus double microprocessors, one microprocessor, including comparator, sample and hold, AD convertor, capacitor leakage and latch, perform high speed acquisition and put into dual port RAM, in the mean time, another microprocessor read spectrum data from the dual port RAM in counterpart side. As a result, a throughput rate of 333 k/s is achieved. The paper also proposed the measures to reduce non-linearity of N451. (authors)
