Natural gas transport and storage markets in central Europe - trends of development and price formation
Description
The final consumer price is to a large part determined by the costs of natural gas transport, which thus often also becomes a determinant of the structure of natural gas markets. The present paper restricts itself to current developments in central Europe. It is intended to show that there is an increase in demand for 'unbundled' storage and transport services across markets of different strufctures. It is not possible to give more than a scanty outline of the principles governing tariff and price fixing. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Ein wesentlicher Teil des Endverbraucherpreises wird durch die Kosten des Erdgastransportes, und durch diesen oftmals auch die Struktur der Erdgasmaerkte bestimmt. Die folgende Darstellung wird sich auf aktuelle Entwicklungen in Zentraleuropa beschraenken. Es soll gezeigt werden, dass unabhaengig von den Strukturen der Maerkte die Nachfrage und das Angebot nach 'unbundled' Speicher-und Transportleistungen zunimmt. Allgemeine Prinzipien der Tarifierung und Preisstellung fuer diese Leistungen koennen aber nur ansatzweise abstrahiert werden. (orig.)Additional details
