Description
Low-temperature magnetic properties of CePd2Sn2 were investigated. A clear Schottky anomaly centering at 32 K of the specific heat is explained by the effect of crystal field. The peak at 0.5 K in the magnetic susceptibility confirms antiferromagnetic ordering. Electrical resistivity shows no Kondo behavior down to 50 mK. A prominent upturn of the specific heat below 4 K suggests that a short-range magnetic order develops far above TN of 0.5 K. (orig.)
