Radiation-induced effects on alternative fuels Pt. 3
- 1. Sao Paulo Univ., SP (Brazil). Inst. de Quimica
Description
Asphaltols obtained by benzene precipitation of coal-derived liquids extracted with hot pyridine were purified by preparative liquid chromatography and X-ray irradiated to different doses. The irradiated product was analyzed using chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. The result obtained show that asphaltenes are degraded to resins. (author) 19 refs.; 2 tabs
