On corrosion state of metal-polymer interface

Description

The influence of competing processes on dynamics of anodic surface in the initial phase of metal-coating systam exposure in corrosive medium was studied to evaluate protective properties of the coatings and effective value of corrosion rate. The approach permitted ascertaining some criteria of the coating protective properties and determining the degree of localization of metal active dissolution areas. The employment of the concepts described can increase reliabilitity of evaluation of the coating protective ability and prediction of their service life under operation conditions
