Rotational-band spectra of the odd-mass dysprosium isotopes in the nonadiabatic particle-plus-rotor model

Description
A microscopic variational method is developed which furnishes a Hamiltonian for the nonadiabatic particle+rotor model. Numerical computations of the even-parity bands in 157/sup ,/159/sup ,/161Dy are carried out within the framework of this model. It is shown that one can radically improve the agreement between theory and experiment by allowing for the principal nonadiabatic effects without having to introduce Coriolis attenuation factors
