Medical ecological characteristics of biological effect of radon and its daughter nucleus (alpha-sources)

Description

The article consists an analysis of influence of radon and its daughter products of decay (RDP) on organisms. The biological danger of radon and its short-lived RDP consists in energy which is exuded as a result of their decay at intake into a lungs and is completely consumed by a man organism. The main final effect of radon action and its RDP is the tumours formation. The damage of a membranes plays important role also. The modification of barrier functions of a membranes occurs and develops in result of the peroxide (free-radical) oxidation induced by exposure in a bio membrane. The radiogenic lungs cancer is one of the first known factors of harmful action of exposure of RDP. The radon increases morbidity by all histological types of a lungs cancer. The exposure by radon can stimulate development of the leukaemia, kidneys cancer and malignant melanoma
