Description

Attribute analysis has been done on the safety culture of nuclear installations based on canonical correlation analysis. The analysis was conducted to examine the correlation relationship between characteristics and its attributes which be considered to build any safety culture. The referred safety culture is described by five characteristics and each characteristic to each one another have a correlational relationship. Each characteristic is detailed in more practical case as an attribute, and therefore each attribute will also have a relationship of mutual correlation in multivariate statistics review. Analysis of correlation that will be used is the canonical correlation analysis using program package SPSS 23. Canonical correlation analysis is carried out based on approaches that safety leadership is the factor that most determines the successful implementation of safety culture. In the analysis the characteristics of safety leadership is used as independent variables. Therefore the other characteristics such safety as a recognized value, safety accountability, safety integrated into all activities, and safety is learning driven are used as dependent variables. As a canonical correlation analysis results showed that a significant correlational relationship and it is very strong but not always in the same direction. Attributes in the characteristic of safety leadership has fairly strong correlation relationship with the attributes SCA01 and SCA02 on the attributes of safety as a value, attribute of SCC01 in the characteristics of safety accountability, the attributes of SCD01 in the characteristics of integrated safety in each activities, and the attributes of SCC01 in the characteristics of safety as learning driven.
