Description
Problem, related to the primary cosmic ray nuclear composition within 106-107 GeV energy range is discussed. Kajdalov and Ter-Martirosyan quark-gluon string model is taken as hadron-air nucleus interaction model. Spatial distribution of muons with threshold energy E=100 Ga in extensive air showers with the particle number Ne=105 and 106 are presented. To correlate calculation and experimental data both at Ne=105 and Ne=106 an assumption is made that the nuclear composition changes with the increase of primary energy E0 in the direction of its charging in the investigated energy range
