Description
A probing He0 beam for confined alpha particle measurement using a double charge exchange process is now under development. A proof of principle experiment for ground-state He0 beam production will be performed on a test stand. Several methods are developed to measure the metastable fraction of a He0 beam. A full-size strong-focusing He+ source has been constructed and sufficient beam current was achieved with a beam size tolerable to be used on ITER
