Description
The SWMCNL recently developed a novel application of CSSI techniques to investigate on-site sediment origins across small-scale cultivated fields (Mabit et al., 2018). Based on the lesson learned from this study, new research and development activities have been initiated in collaboration with the Austrian Institute for Land and Water Management Research, to apply CSSI techniques for determining the origin of sediment transported and deposited in larger Austrian agricultural watersheds.
