Status of the UCSB-LBL 76Ge double beta decay experiment
Description
This paper describes an experiment to look for neutrinoless double beta decay in 76Ge which is now under construction. Eight large high-purity germanium detectors are surrounded by an active shield of sodium iodide. The problem of reducing background sources is discussed in some detail
