Study of fatigue failure stages in VNS-25 alloys by positron annihilation method
Description
The method of positron annihilation, designed for control of stages of material fatigUe failure of dislocation and vacancy character is described. Example of the method use to control the sample ofVNS-25 alloy, which presents a plate 2 mm thick, is given. 22Na(β+, γ) served as a positron source. Fatigue failure have been implaced by means of extension-compression up tp the moment of crack appearance. A possibility to use the above method for non-destructive test of early stages of material fatigue failure is shown
