Inverted steam generator

A converse steam generator is proposed with a liquid metal as coolant where in the evaporator stage the liquid metal flows through pipes while water and steam pass through the interpipe space. In the superheater stage, the liquid metal flows through the heat transfer pipes while steam passes through the interpipe space. The claim consists in a design according to which water and steam flow through the evaporator stage by natural circulation alone or in combination with forced circulation. (F.M.)
