Manufacturing experience and mechanical properties of forging for cask
Description
It is expected the growth of the demand of nuclear power generation in order to decrease the amount of CO2 emissions for the global warming prevention. Then the amount of spent nuclear fuel will increase. And it will also be expected the demand of metal casks will increase since some of them will be needed the intermediate storage. The material used for the main body of metal casks is required different specifications due to the difference of use, environment and so on. Therefore the materials which can be satisfied for each specification shall be applied. In this paper, out manufacturing experience and their mechanical properties for cask forgings are introduced.
