Description

Statistical problems involved in nuclear material control of discrete fuel units by means of attribute inspection have been investigated, starting from the assumption that relatively great diversions have been made abruptly from a small number of fuel units in order to keep low the probability of detection in sampling. Using techniques of statistical quality control, optimum test plans were derived by means of which significant judgement can be given on potential diversions at given minimum detection probabilities.
