Description
We review recent progress in ab initio approaches to few-photon excitation and ionization of two-electron systems with emphasis on H- and He. These approaches employ discretized basis sets capable of accounting for correlation as well as for the time evolution of the system under a strong laser pulse. Fundamental aspects of two-photon double ionization of Helium are also discussed
