Interference of diffractive, refractive, and coulomb effects in cross sections for light nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering at intermediate energies

Description
The patterns typical of Fraunhofer and Fresnel diffraction scattering and rainbow scattering observed in nucleus-nucleus elastic scattering at intermediate energies are discussed. Different interference contributions to differential cross section responsible for the formation of scattering patterns under consideration are extracted by means of the S-matrix approach
