Radionuclide chain transport through heterogeneous media
Description
Radioactive waste disposal is planned for deep lying geologic formations. Generally, the leaching of waste product and the transport of radionuclides by groundwater are considered critical events. A one-dimensional radionuclide chain transport model is developed in this paper. This model takes into account sorption, longitudinal dispersion, and arbitrary repository concentrations. 25 refs
