Status of service-water system inspections - an independent assessment
Description
As a result of service-water system (SWS) problems affecting safety-related equipment, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has embarked on a series of pilot inspections of nuclear power plants to assess the operational performance of this system. Results of these inspections have provided a useful insight to the utilities and have pointed out potential weaknesses. This paper presents an independent assessment of the lessons learned from these inspections
