Description

The uses of metals and alloys in superconductors (Nb46%Ti), aerospatial industry (Ti6Al4V), electroeletronic industry (Nb, Mo, W) and in surgical implants (Ti, Nb) are increasing nowadays. A refining process of niobium and molybdenum by electron beam technique, since the oxides reduction till the obtention of a high purity ingot is presented. (C.G.C.)

E crescente a utilizacao de metais e ligas superpuras nos supercondutores (Nb46%Ti), industria aeroespacial (Ti6Al4V), industria eletro-eletronica (Nb, Mo, W) e em implantes cirurgicos (Ti, Nb). E apresentado neeste trabalho o processo de refino de Nb e Mo por feixe eletronico desde a reducao de seus oxidos ate a obtencao do lingote de alta pureza. (autor)
