Scattering dynamics and energy disposal in the [C2H2:OCS]+ system

Description

This poster will present several types of results for the [C2H2:OCS]+ reaction system. This system is interesting in that the IPs of C2H2 and OCS differ by only 0.227 eV, therefore the C2H2+ + OCS and OCS+ + C2H2 charge states provide two nearly isoenergetic entrance channels into the [C2H2:OCS]+ potential surface. We have used MPI to vibrationally state-select both OCS+ and C2H2+, allowing us to probe the effects of 12 different reactant states on the reaction. We also have examined the product recoil energy and angular distributions for the major products, providing additional dynamical insight. (author)
