The Structure and Properties Dependence of the Zr1Nb ingot Calcium-Thermal Zirconium on Melting Conditions

Description
Metallographic examination of structure and hardness are performed on Zr1Nb ingot after electron-beam and vacuum-arc remelting. It is shown that proposed in NSC KIPT practice of double vacuum-arc remelting with addition of iodide zirconium and niobium after industrial electron-beam remelting cause's the structure improvement and decrease of hardness to 20%
