Low temperature heat capacity of Pr(OH)3
- 1. Yale Univ., New Haven, CT (USA). Dept. of Engineering and Applied Science
Description
The heat capacity of Pr(OH)3 has been measured between 0.45 and 4.2 K. A sharp peak indicates a three dimensional phase transition at 1.21 K, consistent with earlier electric susceptibility measurements. Estimates of the entropy indicate the presence of a low-lying electronic state with an energy of about 7 cm-1. (orig.)
