Conditioning and final storage of radioactive wastes from collecting depots of the Federal States

The report presents the lectures of a seminar held in the framework of a session of the working group 'waste collecting depots'. The lectures deal with pretreatment and conditioning of radioactive waste from the collecting depots and of the German Federal Armed Forces. After a survey of wastes collected the requirements on the waste packages, destined for final storage, are outlined. These requirements were drawn from the safety analyses performed for the planned repository in the Konrad mine. Moreover the computer-aided checking of the fulfillment of the requirements on the acceptable activities in the waste packages is explained. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Im Bericht sind die Vortraege eines Seminars zusammengefasst, das im Rahmen einer Sitzung der Arbeitsgruppe 'Landessammelstellen' stattfand. Die Vortraege beschaeftigen sich mit der Vorbehandlung und Konditionierung radioaktiver Abfaelle aus Landessammelstellen und von der Bundeswehr. Nach einem Ueberblick ueber Abfaelle aus Landessammelstellen werden die aus der Sicht der Endlagerung notwendigen Anforderungen an die endzulagernden Abfallgebinde umrissen. Diese Anforderungen wurden aus den durchgefuehrten Sicherheitsanalysen fuer das geplante Endlager Konrad abgeleitet. Ausserdem wird die rechnergestuetzte Ueberpruefung der Einhaltung von Anforderungen an zulaessige Aktivitaeten in den Abfallgebinden erlaeutert. (orig.)
