Description

If poorly reoxygenating and poorly redistributing tumors existed and could be identified prospectively, neutrons would provide a clear improvement in their therapy. Neutron therapy may also be more easily adaptable to accelerated treatment regimens than are x-rays, but for most highly proliferative tumors, it is unlikely to be therapeutically superior to well-planned, accelerated hyperfractionated x-ray regimens
