Container set for sealed radionuclide sources

Description
The container serves the storage, handling and transport of neutron radiation sources. It consists of a cylindrical body with a cavity which accommodates a replaceable cylindrical insert for fixing the radiation source in place. The insert is fixed with two pins and a bolt. It is enclosed in the nest with a lid fitted with a handling window and a closure which is turnably positioned on a pin with a safety bolt and a lock. The nest can be adapted to the neutron source size, even if the source is accommodated in a holder. The replaceable inserts can be used to increase the shielding capacity. The container set is easy to disassemble, is prevented from being handled by unauthorized persons, and is shock resistant. Surface decontamination and cleaning are easy.
