Description
We examine the deflection of light due to the gravitational field of global monopole in Eddington-inspired Born-Infeld theory using strong field approach, which accurately explains light deflection when the impact parameter is small. In this paper, we will discuss the deflection angle and the radius of the photon sphere. We discover that the global monopole will increase the deflection angle and the radius of the photon sphere (compared to Schwarzschild), while EiBI parameter will decrease the radius of the photon sphere and the decreasing of deflection angle is shown clearly with small impact parameter.
