Description
In 1983, at FERMILAB, the authors began looking at ways to construct a large FASTBUS data manipulation system for the Collider Detector at FERMILAB; a system consisting of about 35 FASTBUS racks each housing up to three FASTBUS crates. Each crate may be required to dissipate up to 2.5 kw of electrical power in the form of heat. This paper describes some of the tests run, the test results, and the final system configuration
