Interturn short-circuit diagnosis of highly loaded magnetic coils of nuclear accelerators

Description

To supervising the magnetic coils of a nuclear accelerator with regard to interturn short-circuits a new method was developed, which bases upon the acquisition of changes of the natural frequency and upon the damping of a recharging frequency, conditioned by operation. For supervising automatically during operation the application of a diagnosis system is necessary, controlled by a microcomputer. Further application are possible, especially, testing the windings of electric machines. (author)
