Description

Data of electrochemical reduction of monoligand, different-ligand (including monosubstituted) molybdenum- and vanadium-containing heteropolycomplexes (HPC) of certain elements (P, Si, Ga, In, Tl(3)) are discussed. The character of voltamperograms, E1/2 value, practically do not depend on the nature of the central atom. However, the effect of the latter tells on the reversibility of electrochemical reduction and values of electron transfer rates, which decrease synchronically with the change in HPC stability. Stability and redox properties of HPC to a higher extent depend on the composition of ligand sphere. Introduction of different metals into the heteropolyanion permits to purposively affect oxidizing properties of HPC. The possility of reversible oxidation-reduction of heteropolyblues by a number of oxidants is ascertained and the mechanism of intraligand oxidation is suggested
