Structural changes in chromium under thermal cycling

Description
Results of studying dislocation structure development under thermal cycling in air in a wide temperature range are presented for low-alloyed chromium. Regularity of micro- and macrostress variation in near-the-surface sample layers and its dependence on dislocation structure character are ascertained. The temperature range of existence of developed cellular structure is determined. Mechanisms of grain fragmentation in near-the-surface sample layers of low-alloys chromium under thermal cycling are discussed
