Description
The T = 3/2 level at 14.174 MeV in 17F, which appears as a resonance at E/sub p/ = 14.435 MeV in 16O(p,p0)16O, has been assigned J/sup π/ = 3/2- on the basis of an analysis of 16O(p,p0)16O measurements. This confirms the assignment of Skwiersky, Baglin, and Parker for this level, and disagrees with most shell-model calculations which predict a level of J/π/ = 1/2- near this energy
