Description
In order to investigate the effect of bFGF on radiation-induced apoptosis in vascular endothelial cells and its signal transduction pathways, ECV304 cells were irradiated with 60Co γ rays for establishing cell apoptosis model. Flow cytometry with Annexin-V-FITC-PI labeling was used to determine cell apoptosis. Different amounts of bFGF and MEK inhibitor U0126 were used to study their effects on radiation-induced endothelial cell apoptosis. It was found that bFGF could inhibit radiation-induced apoptosis in ECV304 cells, but U0126 could block the anti-apoptosis effect of bFGF, suggesting that bFGF may inhibit radiation-induced apoptosis in vascular endothelial cells through of MAPK signaling
