Description
We build upon our newly developed mode reconstruction technique that takes advantage of higher-order photon number statistics. We discuss the application of this technique to practical single-emitters and herald single-photon source analysis. We also examine the importance of this research to fundamental issues of quantum mechanics, proposing new experiments. (paper)
