State of molybdenum ions in fluorine-containing solutions

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Obshchej i Neorganicheskoj Khimii

Description

Using the spectrophotometric method investigated is the MoO42--HF-H2O system at molybdenum concentrations of 5.2 x 10-2 g x at/l and HF in the range of 0.2-2.1 mol/l. It is shown that introduction of hydrofluoric acid into molybdate solutions results in formation of stable complex ions of molybdenum (6) with the HF2sub(-) ions. Conditional stability constant of complex ions, which are formed in acid medium (0.5-mol HClO4), and μ=1 at total concentration of 0.2-2.1 mol/l lgβ = 3.9+-0.2 is determined
