Single-nucleon transfer reactions induced by 16O on 14C

Description
Angular distributions of the proton and neutron transfer reactions 14C(16O, 15N)15N and 14C(16O, 17O)13C leading to the ground states of the final nuclei were measured at E(lab) = 20, 25 and 30 MeV. A DWBA analysis was performed using the no-recoil approximation of Buttle and Goldfarb. All angular distributions, including the pronounced structures of the proton transfer arising from the fact that the final nuclei are identical, are well reproduced. The spectroscopic factor for the neutron transfer is in agreement with shell model calculations whereas the proton transfer into a j-state yields a value which is too high. Exact finite-range calculations do not show this discrepancy, indicating that recoil effects are important even for light targets and lower energies. Contributions of the nonnormal l-transfer, however, are small. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Winkelverteilungen der Protonen- und Neutronentransferreaktionen 14C(16O, 15N)15N und 14C(16O, 17O)13C, die zu den Grundzustaenden der Endkerne fuehren, wurden bei E(lab) = 20, 25 und 30 MeV gemessen. Es wurde eine DWBA-Analyse nach der Naeherung ohne Rueckstoss von Buttle und Goldfarb durchgefuehrt. Alle winkelverteilungen - auch die ausgepraegten Strukturen des Protonentransfer, die dadurch entstehen, dass die Endkerne identisch sind - werden gut wiedergegeben. Der spektroskopische Faktor fuer die Neutronenuebertragung stimmt mit Schalenmodellrechnungen ueberein, waehrend der Protonentransfer in einen j-Zustand einen zu hohen Wert ergibt. Genaue Berechnungen mit endlicher Reichweite weisen diese Diskrepanz nicht auf, was zu der Annahme fuehrt, dass Rueckstosseffekte auch bei leichten Targets und niederen Energien von Bedeutung sind.
