R and D of Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry

Establishment of risk management, improvement of working order and maintenance of facilities and construction of the next generation base for power supply and demand are studied in 2011. On the risk management, analysis of energy policy, increasing earthquake proof countermeasure, safety of radiation and evaluation of the effects on the environment, support of back-end business, development of measures to deal with natural calamities, estimation of warming and effects were reported. The light water reactor aging management, maintenance technologies of hydroelectric power plant, diagnostic technologies of thermal power plant, and maintenance of aging distribution system, development of the next generation thermal power plant technology, establishment of the next generation grid technologies, and development of energy saving technologies were stated.
