Device for sealing defect heat exchanger tubes in a sodium/sodium tube bundle heat exchanger

Description

Sealing by means of plugs of the openings of the tubes of the tube bundle mounted between two tube sheets is possible from one side or from above without needing remove the tube bundle. This is true for straight tube as well as for helical tube intermediate heat exchangers of the FBR. It will be achieved by a repair manipulator that can hydraulically be extended below the lower tube sheet. In addition the repair plate of the manipulator is slewable and rotatable. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Das Verschliessen der Rohroeffnungen der Rohre des zwischen zwei Rohrboeden angeordneten Rohrbuendels mittels Stopfen ist von einer Seite her bzw. von oben moeglich, ohne das Rohrbuendel ausbauen zu muessen. Dies gilt sowohl fuer Geradrohr- als auch Wendelrohrzwischenwaermetauscher des SB. Hierzu ist ein Reparaturmanipulator vorgesehen, der hydraulisch bis unter den unteren Rohrboden ausgefahren werden kann. Der Reparaturteller des Manipulators ist zusaetzlich schwenk- und drehbar.
