Computerized tomography value in orbital trauma complicated with intra orbital foreign body evaluation

In this article we treat the problem of the CT use in patients with orbital trauma complicated by the intra orbital foreign body. The study was carried out on 29 patients. It showed high CT specificity (100 %) and sensibility (93.1%) in the roentgen positive foreign body diagnosis. CT was equally effective in determination and appreciation of such complications as orbital wall fractures, eye ball rupture optic nerve lesions as well as associated cerebral lesions. (authors)
