Nonlinear plasma dynamics in a strong magnetic field
Description
Nonlinear low-frequency oscillations in a tokamak plasma and other systems with strong magnetic fields are described by a simplified set of hydrodynamic-type equations that is valid for arbitrary ratios of the inhomogeneity transverse scale to the ion Larmor radius. The general properties of this set are discussed. Anomalous coefficients of plasma diffusion and electron conductivity are estimated
