Description
This report shows that a 100 per cent renewable electric power mix is possible in Guadeloupe while facing the whole power demand at any moment, outlines that an important work on multi-sector energy management is required in case of conversion of road vehicles in electric vehicles, that the role Diesel plants will be significantly reduced from 2025, that it is relevant to ensure a significant part of production by means of rotary machines, and shows that a high rate of renewable energies comes along with a reduction of costs for energy production, and that such an electric power system can remain steady while facing significant incidents. Thus, the report presents the context, the project general methodology, the modelling and prediction of energy demand, an assessment of potentials for the different renewable energies, a modelling and optimisation of the power system, the elaboration of prospective scenarios, technical results of optimizations for the different scenarios, static and dynamic study of the operation of power systems, an economic analysis, and a study of installation profitability and a quantitative analysis of the evolution of exploitation rules.
