Propagation of high current particle beams through gases
Description
A model for the propagation of high current beams of ions or electrons through an initially neutral or partially ionized gas is described. Numerical results are given for the transport and focusing of intense ion beams onto a pellet at the center of the target chamber of a pellet fusion reactor
