At the cutting edge [remote sectioning techniques]
Description
A number of remote sectioning techniques have been developed (and applied) which lend themselves to the high radiation and/or underwater conditions likely to be encountered in reactor decommissioning. These include plasma arc cutting and machining by electric discharge and metal disintegration. (author)
