Description

Among the sulfur-containing extractants organic sulfides and sulfoxides are preferably used for separating noble and non-ferrous metals, in particular the available natural organic sulfur compounds extracted from mineral oil concentrates and their oxydation products. The fundamentals of the extraction of noble and non-ferrous metals by organic sulfides and sulfoxides are considered. Constants for the extraction of silver nitrate and gold(III) chloride with the aid of sulfides are given. Methods for the separation of noble metals and of noble metals from non-ferrous-metals have been elaborated and summarized schematically. (author)
