Three-dimensional electromagnetic modes in magnetized toroidal plasmas

Description
For a cold radially inhomogeneous magnetized toroidal plasma of circular and elliptic meridional cross-section, global wave solutions of Maxwell's equations are derived. The electromagnetic boundary conditions on the metallic containment vessel are satisfied using the integration constants (partial amplitudes) of the general solutions. (author)
