Description
The cathodoluminescence (CL) emission from SrO single crystals, deformed under different mechanical treatments is studied in the scanning electron microscope. The CL spectrum depends on the kinds of deformation applied to the crystal. The main deformation-induced bands appear at 510 and 570 nm. The latter is markedly influenced by the state of the surface.
