Description

Magnetized plasma guns are spreading the world of various plasmoids in a wide range of fields from nuclear fusion to astronomical universe. Magnetized plasma gun technology is used as a driver of high energy density plasma, and is expected to open up new fusion technology. This paper discusses with a focus on the magnetized target nuclear fusion using magnetized plasma gun, magnetic reconnection in nuclear fusion plasma, and two-fluid relaxation. First, as the compression experiments using plasma guns in the magnetized target nuclear fusion, the following are introduced: (1) shear flow stabilization Z-pinch experiment, (2) spheromak implosion experiment, (3) collision compression experiment of helical relaxation coordination plasma, and (4) spherical plasma liner experiment. Next, as experiments and simulations of plasmoid reconnection using nuclear fusion plasma, the following are explained: (1) coaxial helicity incident method and magnetic reconnection, (2) simulation of plasmoid reconnection in spherical torus NSTX equipment, and (3) results of plasmoid reconnection experiment in HIST equipment. Finally, as the two-fluid relaxation, this paper outlines the characteristics of two-fluid equilibrium coordination with the flow formed in the current driving process of spherical tokamak by the coaxial helical incidence method using a magnetized coaxial plasma gun.
