Spectrophotometric studies of the complexation of Cu/sup +2/, Ni/sup +2/ and VO/sup +2/ with eriochrome black T

Description
Eriochrome Black t (EBT) has been used as a reagent for complexation studies with Cu/sup +2/ and VO/sup +2/ by spectroscopic method, The spectra of the complexes was monitored under optimized conditions. The values of stability constants for the Cu/sup +2/, Ni/sup +2/ and VO/sup +2/ complex with EBT were found to be of the order of 3.6 x 10/sup 12/, 3.6 x 10/sup 7/ and 3. 7 x 10/sup 5/, respectively.
