Particularities of molybdenum sorption from sulfuric acid solutions on macroporous anionites

Description

The results are presented of laboratory tests of new anion exchangers instead of AN-1 for extracting and concentrating molybdenum from sulfuric acid solutions following precipitation of calcium molybdate. Macroporous anionites of AN-80-7P and AN-80-10P type are characterized by high coefficients of maximum permissible exchange capacity and permissible exchange capacity which are 3-4 times higher than those of AN-1. This is explained by the MoO4-2 anion polymerization in the process of ion exchange up to polyanions, a large volume of inner grain pores in these resins contributing to that effect
